Custom Engraving (Scroll To the Bottom)
Every CTC glass starts with 100% lead-free German crystal, strengthened with a 0.8% titanium base for higher clarity, brighter sparkle, and greater durability. When you add custom engraving, we apply the same standard to the process: clean detail, consistent placement, and a premium finish.
Why We Use UV (Not Sandblasting or CO₂)
There are a few ways to mark glass. We use UV laser engraving because it delivers the best balance of detail, consistency, and cost—especially on curved, premium crystal.
UV Laser Engraving (what we use)
- Produces a crisp, high-resolution mark with sharp edges
- Excellent for fine text, thin lines, and detailed logos
- Creates a refined “frosted” look without heavy material removal
Sandblasting
- Can create a deep matte etch, best suited for bold designs
- Fine details and small text often soften at the edges
- Requires masking and more manual labor, which raises time and cost
CO₂ Laser on Glass
- Uses more heat, which can reduce edge sharpness and consistency on crystal
- Fine detail is harder to hold reliably across curved surfaces
- Often benefits from coatings/sprays and can be more variable on premium glass
In short: UV gives you laser precision with the elegant frosted finish people love from etched glass—without the drawbacks of heavy blasting or heat-heavy processes.
Our 3D Galvo UV Laser: Built for Curved Glassware
Most engraving systems are optimized for flat surfaces. Our glassware isn’t flat—so we use a specialized 3D Galvo UV laser made specifically for complex curvature.
How a 3D Galvo UV Laser Works
- A UV laser beam creates the mark in the glass surface.
- Galvo mirrors (high-speed precision mirrors) steer the beam to “draw” your design.
- The “3D” capability dynamically adjusts the focus depth (Z-axis) while engraving, helping the laser stay properly focused as it moves over curves.
- Result: a consistently sharp mark across the engraving area, even on challenging glass geometry.
Engraving Size and Placement Standards
To keep results consistent and clean, we follow a precise standard on every engraved glass:
- Maximum engraving size: 40 mm × 40 mm (Height × Width).
Whichever dimension reaches 40 mm first determines the final scale. - Placement: Front side only, centered and positioned at the mid-height of the glass for a balanced look.
Fast Turnaround, No-Nonsense Service
Most custom orders are completed in 1–2 business days, depending on the current queue.
Need it sooner? Call us. If a rush is possible, we’ll do our best to make it happen without any extra charge.
Hand-Finished and Protected for Shipping
After engraving, every glass is hand-polished and inspected for a clean, premium finish. For shipping, we use acid-free paper to protect the crystal and help prevent marking or scuffing in transit—so your glass arrives looking as flawless as it left our hands.
Care and Cleaning
Our engraved crystal is dishwasher safe, but for the best presentation we recommend hand drying or light polishing after washing to prevent water spots (a common issue with all quality glassware).
